plasma ionizers effective tech or ozone risk?

What's the deal with ionizers? I've seen mixed reviews, from they're awesome to they messed up my lungs.

I'm thinking about getting a Toshiba Haori AC that has a plasma ionizer. It supposedly makes ozone to help clean the air and then turns back into oxygen. It sounds good in theory, but should I worry about ozone exposure or any side effects?

Has anyone here had real experiences or data on these?

Ionizers can help with air quality but some produce ozone, which might irritate lungs. Toshiba's tech likely minimizes ozone, but I'd research reviews and check if you're sensitive before buying
